Volunteer Spotlight: Audrey Bradford

My name is Audrey Bradford, and I am a senior at Whitko High School. I was born in South Whitley. Nine years ago, my family and I moved to Huntington, so each day I commute from there. My parents are Travis and Angela. I have a brother, Drew, who is 21 and attends Trine University studying business management. Also, I have 3 pets; 2 goldendoodles named Moose and Mimi, plus a cat named Max.

I love to sing, play soccer and go shopping in my spare time. My favorite place to visit is Orlando. My family has been there multiple times and I love the environment. It is such a happy place!! Our trip to the Dominican was absolutely beautiful too!! Some of my recent jobs have been babysitting and helping out at baseball/softball events at the high school.

This is my first year of being a volunteer and I am currently mentoring an elementary student. The best part is the smile on his face each time I arrive at his classroom. He gets excited about us hanging out and always tells me about his day.

When asked to tell something not many people know about me, I would say that I lived in Canada for a year. After graduation, I plan to attend Trine University to study Biomedical Engineering.

Thanks, Audrey, for being a part of the mentoring program and for making a difference in the life of a child. We are so happy to have you as part of the OC family!!
